An Arabica single-origin coffee that impresses with its history and joie de vivre. The beans come from the Indonesian Gayo Highlands - one of the world's largest Arabica growing areas at this altitude. Picked and sorted by hand, the biodynamically produced beans develop their full potential in a light to medium roast. As a filter coffee, Tropicale impresses with notes of buttery nuts, dried plums and a gentle, clear coffee bouquet. The espresso has fine nuances of licorice, bitter almond and an elegant citrus sweetness. Tropicale supports the Orangutan Coffee Project, which is committed to sustainable cultivation, the protection of orangutans and fair and social conditions for local small-scale farming families.
