Our passion

For us, coffee is more than a product - it is a matter of the heart. We believe that true enjoyment begins where Quality and Responsibility meet each other. Every cup of coffee we create for you should delight not only with its taste, but also with the story it tells.

Our beans come from people who work in harmony with nature with love and respect. We choose partners who act fairly and sustainably, because this is the only way to create a coffee that not only makes you happy, but also the people in the countries of origin. Fair trade and biological production For us, these are not marketing terms, but values that we live every day...

The founding history

Through my Italian grandmother, mine Nonna, I grew up with the culture of Italian coffee. At that time it was common knowledge that really good coffee could only be found in Italy. Coincidentally, two of my father's close friends took up this problem. Arthur Schmed invented the fully automatic coffee machine in 1980 and thus laid the foundation for the Saeco company. So I grew up in a coffee-loving environment. This is probably what influenced me Magic which surrounds the industry, have been under its spell since my childhood. I dreamed of searching for coffee beans in the most remote regions of the world and finding them in my own Roastery to refine. At that time, starting a coffee roasting company was out of the question, because without today's technical possibilities, such as the Internet and social media, as well as without capital, this dream seemed unattainable. As is well known, the world has changed rapidly in the last 20 years. This finally made it possible to enter the magical world of coffee.

Our values

For us, sustainability not only means ecological responsibility, but also social commitment. That's why we ensure that we promote it in the countries of origin biodynamic production, for the health of the coffee farmers and only buy Fairtrade. We can have an influence and pay above the usual Fairtrade fees, particularly on smaller farms that forego labels for organizational reasons and where we know the owners personally. We finance our social commitment through lower margins and Corporal labor.
After all, it wouldn't be our commitment if we passed it on to our customers. And we think we can think about that in peace and quiet...

Coffee bags - a heart for animals

Green coffee is traditionally packed in 60 kilogram jute bags. The empty coffee sacks are sought-after collector's items. Whether as decorative elements, overwintering plants, creative craft ideas or as a basis for handmade bags. There are no limits to your imagination.
Instead of selling the bags, we pass them on for a voluntary donation of at least CHF 5.00. Every franc collected is donated by Cafiosa doubled and donated to non-profit animal protection organizations.
